I altered the home page to display the latest news and set up the page which displays them. Will do some more work over the next few days when I get chance.

If so, roughly what date will be you launching the site (so I know when to start my database from)?

I am going to try and do some more work over the weekend and after that I might be able to suggest a time to have it live by. Although at this late stage in the season it might be worth waiting until the new campaign starts.

A further update for you all:

I am currently looking at content management systems at work for a project I am embarking upon. Having downloaded one called Durpal and installed on my computer I reckon it could be perfect for Loidland.com.

It allows you to create menus and content very quickly and control it all. I'm currently playing with and I'm really impressed at what you can do. You can also customise it so we can have the designs I showed earlier.

Personally I reckon we are best at launching for next season now. Obviously using Drupal will take a bit longer but I reckon over time it will be the best bet.

yeah drupal is pretty cool, as is joomla which ive used in the past

Any updates on this?

I've had to scale it back a bit due to work etc. Its now a sort of blog affair but should be more flexible to different sections and articles as a result. The design is much the same as before (accessibility wise its better actually).

I've got one more page to do which I'll finish tomorrow after the match and then we are done. We'll just have to get the hosting and the DNS on the domain sorted (normally around the 48 hour mark after you submit the changes).

Its not quite as large scale as I hoped but it nearly done now and should give us a proper, up to date home page for us all.
